The guru is like a charged monsoon cloud that happily rains eternal bliss on one and all. And is such Bliss something to be stowed away and hoarded? No, indeed! It is to be enjoyed to the heart's content and shared with others.

I will do the I will not allow my devotees to come to harm

I will do the I will not allow my devotees to come to harm. I have to take thought for my devotees. And if a devotee is about to fall, I stretch out my hands, and thus with four, four, outstretched hands at time to support him, I will not let him fall.

I lovingly gaze at my Guru's face, my Guru expected only this

I lovingly gaze at my Guru's face, my Guru expected only this. He desired nothing more than this. He never treated me with indifference or unconcern, but always protected me in my troubles.

If one meditates on Me, repeats my name, sing my deeds and thus is transformed into Me, his karma is destroyed. I will stay by his side always.

If one sees me only, always listens to talk about Me, and perpetually repeats 'Sai' 'Sai' with heart
overflowing with devotion. He will reach to God, he need not feat or worry for his body and soul.

Trust in the Guru fully and wholeheartedly. Leave off all doubts. That is the only Sadhana. Guru is God. Guru is everything. He is your mother, father, well wisher, relative and true friend. Seeing all as Guru is the highest state and he who feels Him in every creature verily becomes Myself. 

Surrender does not mean mere prostration and service to the Guru

Surrender does not mean mere prostration and service to the Guru. It means complete surrender of everything, including the body and mind, with the conviction that the body belongs to the Guru and exists merely to serve Him. 

I draw my devotee to me, at the time of his death

I draw my devotee to me, at the time of his death, even though he may die a thousand miles away (from Shirdi)

Mukti (Release) is true joy or happiness

Mukti (Release) is true joy or happiness. Coursing through births and deaths is unhappiness. 

You have to take another birth and suffer again

You have to take another birth and suffer again. Why not suffer for some time now and be done with it once and for all.

So meditate on it regularly

Know that that which is Knowledge incarnate, or Supreme Pure Consciousness or Blissful Joy. That is my true nature. So meditate on it regularly.

My guru, after depriving me of everything, asked me for two paise

My guru, after depriving me of everything, asked me for two paise. I gave them to him. He did not want metallic gifts. What he asked for was (i) faith (nishta) and (ii) saburi i.e., patience or cheerful endurance.

Forbearance or patience (Saburi) and Faith (Shraddha) cuts away calamities from all directions.

'O Baba'

1. The ambrosia that you nurtured, until now we contemplated, Pothi (sacred text bhaktleelamrut) was filled by Das Ganu, but how can we contemplate on that regularly?

2. O Gururai, we are sansari, the journey of Sansar is wicked,
   For the sake of hunger men-women, have to toil all day long.

3. Guru (Sai Baba)  compassionately replied, Why do you worry?
   Contemplate on the essence of ambrosia that I narrate, surely you will be free.

4. Speaking this the Guru continued, those words of wisdom then I imbibed,
   the pearls that I weaved in this necklace, O devotees wear them with love.

5. 'God is there, believe this to be truth'  'God is not, know this to be false'
   And know this for sure, Nobody is bigger than God.

6. God creates, and also God preserves,
   God raises, and also God takes where the death dwells.

7. Not a leaf move, without the will of God
   Be patient, and be satisfied with the will of God.

8. Unfathomable is the play of God, the pace of logic falls here
   Incomprehensible incidents of God, only the unique devotee alone knows.

9. Fear the God alone and never leave the righteousness
   Keep the center of power of Conscience of virtue and vice, constantly awake.


10. Perform your duties always, never hold the vanity of doer,
    Believe always that God is the doer, and offer the results to God always.
    Then the deed will not bound you and danger of births will not hinder you.

11. Rinanubandh (bond of indebtedness contracted in previous births (and forming the cause of suffering and enjoyment
    in this life)) will then decay. Detached you will remain always.

12. God is filled with entire dwellings, God is the one who is hiding
    Surely God is filled in all animals, so be compassionate to everyone.

13. Be harmonious with everyone, do not engage in debate
    Do not slander anybody, nor compare.

14. Always listen with peace, what everybody speaks
    do not be afraid of it, those words cannot pierce the body.

     why should we spend the sleepless nights for the duty of others?

16. Who sows surely reaps it's fruits, why should other suffer with anxiety?
