Food and the one who eats it

If others hate us, let us take to nama japa and avoid them (those who hurt us) ... Do not bark at people; do not be pugnacious. Bear with other’s reproach

If anyone begs anything of you, if you can grant the request or get it granted, do so, Don’t say ‘No’. If you have nothing to give, give a suave ‘no’; do not get angry with him.

You must always adhere to truth and

You must always adhere to truth and fulfill all the promises you make. Have faith and patience. Then I will be always with you wherever you are. 

Whatever you do

Whatever you do, do thoroughly, else do not undertake. 

I grant all the wishes of him who

I grant all the wishes of him who chants my name with love and faith, which, in turn, enhances his devotion to me.

If one meditates on Me, repeats my name,

If one meditates on Me, repeats my name, sing my deeds and thus is transformed into Me, his karma is destroyed. I will stay by his side always.

Surrender does not mean mere prostration

Surrender does not mean mere prostration and service to the Guru. It means complete surrender of everything, including the body and mind, with the conviction that the body belongs to the Guru and exists merely to serve Him. 

There are innumerable saints in this world

There are innumerable saints in this world but "our father' (Guru) is the Father (Real Guru). Others might say many good things but we should never forget our Guru's words.

Love in the mother's (Guru) gaze is enough to bring happiness and contentment to the little tortoises(disciple, devotees).

If one perpetually thinks of me

If one perpetually thinks of me, and makes me his sole refuge, I am his debtor and will give my head to save him.

I shall be with you the moment you think of me

I shall be with you the moment you think of me.

If, one ever dwells on me in his mind and will not even taste food before offering it to me, I am his slave. so also if he hungers and thirsts after me, and treats all else as unimportant. 

Those who remember me

Those who remember me, I always remember them. I do not require carriage, airplane or rail coach. Whoever calls me with love. I manifest the same moment instantly.

One who lives in My remembrance

One who lives in My remembrance, and does not taste the food without offering Me, I am the bonded slave of their 

I am always with you

When you remember me with devotion, I am always with you. I am not just in Shirdi, I am everywhere. 

Give up all your cleverness

Give up all your cleverness and always remember "Sai-Sai". If you do that, all your doubts would be removed.

Wherever you are, whatever you do, always remember this one thing very well, that I come to know, all the time, and in detail, what you are doing.

Meditating on Me, results in chaitanya ghanatha i.e., Brahma samarasata. The guru’ s glance is bread and milk for the disciple.

Offer your mind and intellect to Me

Offer your mind and intellect to Me, remembering me all the time. Such a one will not care what befalls his body or when. Surely, he is without fear.

He who turns his attention on me can

He who turns his attention on me can have no difficulties, whatsoever. But he who forgets me will be ruthlessly whipped by Maya. 

If a man utters My name with love

If a man utters My name with love, I shall fulfill all his wishes, increase his devotion. It is My special characteristic to free any person who surrenders himself completely to Me and who worships Me faithfully and who remembers Me and meditates on Me constantly. The simple remembrance of My name as Sai, Sai will do away with sins of speech and hearing. 

I feel indebted to him who

I feel indebted to him who surrenders himself completely to Me and ever remembers Me. I shall repay his debt by giving him salvation, self-realisation.
