We do not know fame or calamity

We do not know fame or calamity, selfishness or welfare of others. We only know the work stated by the Guru. It is the goal of life.

This is the way to happiness

This is the way to happiness. Let others and the world turn topsy-turvy, but do not mind that; keep on to your own straight course.

if you bear with them patiently.

Others may rebuke you in a hundred and one ways , but you yourself should never use bitter hurting words in reply. You will experience unbounded happiness, if you bear with them patiently.

Mukti (Release) is true joy or happiness

Mukti (Release) is true joy or happiness. Coursing through births and deaths is unhappiness. 

People do ask for abundance of wealth and prosperity

People do ask for abundance of wealth and prosperity, or for the cure of disease, removal of difficulties, or for fame, honour, power and authority. It is happiness they always ask for.

To experience the oneness of the Self in all beings is the utmost limit of all Knowledge

To experience the oneness of the Self in all beings is the utmost limit of all Knowledge. Emancipation (Liberation) and Bliss are really born from such knowledge. 

The guru is like a charged monsoon cloud

The guru is like a charged monsoon cloud that happily rains eternal bliss on one and all. And is such Bliss something to be stowed away and hoarded? No, indeed! It is to be enjoyed to the heart's content and shared with others.

Know that which is Knowledge incarnate

Know that which is Knowledge incarnate, or Supreme Pure Consciousness or Blissful Joy. That is my true nature. So meditate on it regularly.

My guru, after depriving me of everything,

 

 

My guru, after depriving me of everything, asked me for two paise. I gave them to him. He did not want metallic gifts. What he asked for was (i) faith (nishta) and (ii) saburi i.e., patience or cheerful endurance.

Faith and Forbearance (Shraddha - Saburi), these were the two coins my Guru wanted from me.

Who sows surely reaps it's fruits

 

 

Who sows surely reaps it's fruits, why should other suffer with anxiety?  

In field of action the body disintegrates, so never waste time in leisure.

Perform your duties always

 

 

Perform your duties always, never hold the vanity of doer,  

Believe always that God is the doer,and offer the results to God always.  

Then the deed will not bound you and danger of births will not hinder you.

Remember, whatever actions you do

Remember, whatever actions you do, the corresponding qualities will develop and will remain part of you.

You should be unaffected like these.

The earth bears seeds. Clouds rain on them. The sun sends his rays, and makes them sprout. When these sprout earth, clouds and sun keep on their happy course in all directions. They neither exult at the growth nor deject at the destruction of the sprouts. You should be unaffected like these. If you are, when can sorrow come to you? Mukti (or liberation) is this absence of sorrow.

If anybody is angry with anybody

If anybody is angry with anybody, he wounds me too quick. I anybody abuses another, I feel pain. If  anybody bravely endures the abuse, I feel highly pleased.

If you cannot endure abuse

If you cannot endure abuse, speak a simple word or two, or else leave the place.

If somebody begs you for something,

If somebody begs you for something, and you do not have anything to give, say a polite 'No'. Do not get angry with them.

Let others and world turn topsy-turvy,
