Take my name and surrender to me.

His mind will become one with God

He looks upto me single-mindedly, narrates and listens to my self purifying tales and is devoted to none other but me, his mind will become one with God. 

Offer your mind and intellect to me

Offer your mind and intellect to me, remembering me all the time. Such a one will not care what befalls his body or when. Surely he is without fear. 

He should avoid speaking words which will sting and hurt

He should avoid speaking words which will sting and hurt and not strike anyone on the vital spot. But he should engage himself in pure, virtuous deeds, keeping his mind, all the time, firmly on his duty. 

Sweetness may depart from the jaggery

Sweetness may depart from the jaggery, the sea from it's waves and the eye from its sparkle; but never will my simple, faithful devotee be without me. 

And become one with me

Those who worship me, day and night, single-mindedly and without any expectations, they overcome the duality and become one with me. 

I have incarnated on this earth

To dispel the misconception of those who regard my presence as confined to 3 1/2 cubits of human frame, I have incarnated on this earth. 

I am present everywhere

I am present everywhere --- in water, on land, or even in a dry twig; among men and in wilderness; in foreign lands and in my own. I pervade even the radiant sky. I am not confined to any one country. 

As he sows, so he reaps

As he sows, so he reaps. 

To him guru will give boundless happiness

He who is fond of guru-bhajan and does not waste even half a minute, to him guru will give boundless happiness and take him safely beyond this worldly life. 

No one can cast an evil eye upon him

With steadfast faith in his mind, he who is engaged in Guru-worship, to him God is altogether indebted and no one can cast an evil eye upon him. 

He is truly the blessed one

He who worship me increasingly, like the waxing moon in the brighter half of lunar month. And who has surrendered to me totally, all the feelings and inclinations of his heart, he is truly the blessed one. 

My man, however far away he may be from me

My man, however far away he may be from me ----- Even beyond the seven seas, I will at once, draw him to me, as a sparrow is pulled with the sting tied to her feet. 

Know this and surrender to Him.

Apart from the name and form, the 'You' that remains behind, that is he mark of God. Know this and surrender to Him.

But I dwell very near you

You may ask as to where I am now, or how I will meet you. But I dwell very near you, in your own hearts and can meet you without any efforts. 

I act according to the wishes of him

I act according to the wishes of him, who intently meditates on me and does not eat or drink without first offering to me. 

His debt is on my head

Surrendering to me single-mindedly, he who remembers me, ceaselessly, his debt is on my head, which I shall repay by uplifting him. 

The words from my mouth will never ever be untrue!

Just to keep my Word, I will even give up my life! But the words from my mouth will never ever be untrue! 

Truly, nothing is so painful as ignorance

Whatever pleasure one finds in the five sense-objects, like word. touch, form etc., ultimately turns into pain. Truly, nothing is so painful as ignorance.

Hold fast to Sadguru's Feet

To get safely across Maya, hold fast to Sadguru's Feet, surrender to Him. single-mindedly. And the fear of worldly life will vanish instantly. 

The remedy is God-worship

To dispel the Maya, the remedy is God-worship. A devote of God has no "Fall", nor does he have the bondage of worldly life. 

These are the means of winning His grace

Jnana (Knowledge) is a matter of realisation; it is not a subject of instruction. And obeisance to Guru, repeated questions to Him and His sincere service, these are the means of winning His grace.

He is pleased

Where Sai's life story is being read, there Sai is present, always. And when it is read with faith, again and again, He is pleased.

And He alone is the Gracious One

I am only a 'sakshi', a witness, to whatever karmas that come about by the force of destiny. God Almighty alone is the doer and the Impeller of all action. And He alone is the Gracious One.
